Hey happy campers, hope your day is going swell.

We are making the Mexican chopped salad and Pad Thai. Both promise to be exceptional.

The soups of the day are Corn Chowder and Gypsy Stew, and chilled Gazpacho.

Pizza is crispy leeks, fresh spinach, marinated tomato, and red sauce.

We will have a Greek Salad wrap, also.

I just heard the mother of the reporter James Foley, the kidnapped journalist who appears to have been murdered by Islamic extremists, saying she is just grateful for the joy that he brought her and that he died (we assume) bringing truth to the world. I thought that was a very dignified thought in what must be, as a parent myself, an unbelievable situation. The mother and the son are two different kinds of heroes.
